David Kangye

David Kangye is a Ugandan writer, storyteller, and curator who documents and amplifies transformative narratives on people, places, and books.

 

His work focuses on showcasing value, preserving cultural heritage, and shaping national conversation.

 

Through his platform, Kangye Writes, he has inspired and educated audiences by curating compelling human-interest stories.

 

He actively contributes to Uganda’s online narrative as a founding member of the Uganda Bloggers Community, a dynamic network of digital storytellers.

 

As a curator, David has successfully shaped major platforms, including TEDxEntebbe and the Kampala International Book Fair, bringing together diverse voices and ideas to drive community engagement.

 

His leadership journey includes serving as a curator for the Global Shapers Community (Kampala Hub) and participating as a 2024 Fellow in the GROW Leadership Program by CivSource Africa, where he applied strategic insights to drive positive change.

 

David has led and managed digital teams for high-impact initiatives, including the Ibua Publishing, Stanbic Bank National Student Championships and 360 Mentor Africa.

 

His expertise in digital storytelling and team leadership has consistently delivered measurable results for these organizations.

 

His thought leadership has been featured in prominent publications such as the LEO Africa Review and CEO East Africa Magazine.

 

He is deeply committed to community service, actively contributing through volunteer roles with Ubuntu Leadership Safari, the 4040 Foundation, and Boundless Minds.
