CMIS Africa – Events & Stakeholder Engagements

CMIS Africa convenes high-impact forums that connect journalists, editors, policymakers, civil society leaders, academics, and the private sector. These events foster collaboration, knowledge exchange, and policy dialogue aimed at strengthening journalism’s role in Africa’s democratic and developmental agenda.

  • Format: Town halls, roundtables, and policy forums
  • Focus: Address cross-cutting issues in sector-focused journalism, media regulation, press freedom, sustainability, and innovation
  • Target: 20+ dialogues hosted across African regions over the next decade
  • Impact: Builds consensus on strategies to improve media ecosystems and align sector coverage with public interest priorities
