David Kangye is a Ugandan writer, storyteller, and curator passionate about documenting transformative narratives on people, places, and books.
Through his platform Kangye Writes, he showcases compelling human-interest stories that inspire, educate, and preserve cultural heritage.
He is the curator of TEDxEntebbe and the Kampala International Book Fair, and a founding member of the Uganda Bloggers Community — a network of digital storytellers shaping Uganda’s online narrative.
His leadership journey includes serving as curator for the Global Shapers Community, Kampala Hub (World Economic Forum for Young Leaders), and participating as a 2024 Fellow in the GROW Leadership Program by CivSource Africa.
Kangye has managed digital teams for initiatives such as the Stanbic Bank National Student Championships and 360 Mentor Africa.
His portfolio also includes contributions to the LEO Africa Review and CEO East Africa Magazine, as well as volunteer roles with Ubuntu Leadership Safari, 4040 Foundation, and Boundless Minds.
